Dear Readers,

In the last few years, I have had amazing opportunities to connect with artists and entrepreneurs who have taken the bold step of starting their own businesses. Homegrown products made with love are my favourites. Savon De Diva is one such homegrown brand by Radhika Pradeep a resident of Manipal.

How is this brand special?

To start with, like most homemade products, these soaps are cruelty-free. No animal extracts are used in their preparation. These amazing soaps that smell like a piece of heaven are free of harmful ingredients and foaming agents.

The Process

The base is of different oils and kinds of butter alongside a teeny bit of sodium hydroxide (All soaps whether made at home in small numbers or commercially produced have sodium hydroxide in them. Some Soap-makers seldom admit to it.) which acts as a binding agent.

The soap is cured on trays for 30 days straight in an open room. The sodium hydroxide evaporates during the process. The resulting soap contains only the oils, butter and special ingredients (depending on your choice) like orange peels and essential oils.

The Variety

The soaps come in many varieties to help you to choose the one that suits your skin needs. Every ingredient is handpicked from the source be it Rose petals or Honey. The butter and oils used are of Grade 1 quality.
We use a variety of clays for our soaps like Kaolin, Bentonite, French green clay and Rose clay to name a few.

Oils like castor, coconut, Argan, Jojoba and Olive are used in Shampoo bars to give the hair growth & lustre.
Butters like Cocoa, Mango and Shea are also used.
Essential oils like Rosemary, Lemongrass and lavender are also added accordingly.

Here’s what Radhika has to say about her brand

What started as a personal need, became a need for every woman who wanted something special for herself.
My clientele is of good & genuine people who want good products for themselves and their loved ones. The brand thrives on quality and word-of-mouth publicity.

Placing an order

We customise soaps according to your needs, wherein a minimum order of 13 regular soaps should be ordered. As stated above, the curing time of the soaps is maintained, before the soaps are dispatched.
An advance of ₹1000 will be taken from the customer. The balance and the shipping charges can be made during dispatch.
There will be no last-minute cancellations & no refund. Please understand that it takes a lot of effort and time to bring out good products.

Supporting small businesses and going vocal for local products is now more important than ever before. These businesses foster local economies, keeping money close to home and supporting neighbourhoods and communities.
