Hello, Amazing reader,
Hope you are doing well.
If you are an Indian, wish you a very Happy Independence Day.
Today’s post is about my new book – a short story that went live this morning on Amazon. It is a short read and can be finished in less than 30 mins. If you are someone who is a beginner when it comes to reading, this is a perfect book for you. The language is simple and the story flows smoothly.
It is an experimental story that reflects the reader’s thoughts as it proceeds. What is the first thought that comes to your mind when you see a girl coming home drunk late in the night wearing a short dress? What do you think of a woman who has lied to her family about the nature of her job while she travels around the city late in the night? What is your first reaction when you pass by a woman whose face as well as reputation is scarred?
You will find the answers to these questions in this story. Those Girls – A Tale of Perspectives.
The idea behind releasing it on Independence Day is to convey a message. A vow to ‘Free’ ourselves from the desire to judge others- their character, life choices and dreams. A reminder to treat each other with kindness and compassion.
Blurb:
“Those Girls” is a story revolving around three sisters – Kusum, Rani and Namita, whose lives are scarred by the demons of their past and the reality of their birth. It speaks of their dreams, ambitions and the sheer desire to break the shackles that society has tied them to. In each of their stories, one can see glimpses of their own lives which at one point or other have fallen prey to the judgmental prying eyes of the society.
It is not possible to talk more about the story without giving away important aspects. And that is why I am ending this post here.
If you wish to know their story, you can buy your copy here. Amazon Kindle also lets you read the first few pages for free so that you can decide if you wish to buy it.
If you buy the book, please do leave a review on Amazon. It will help others to discover this book.
Love,
Ashwini
